The Story Behind The Legion of Honor of Mame Khalifa Niass

The Legion of Honour, or in full the National Order of the Legion of Honour (French : Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur) is a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte on 19 May 1802. The Order is the #Highest decoration in France and is divided into five degrees : Chevalier (Knight), Officier (Officer), Commandeur (Commander), Grand Officier (Grand Officer), and Grand Croix (Grand Cross).

The order’s motto is Honneur et Patrie ("Honour and Fatherland"), and its seat is the Palais de la Légion d’Honneur on the left bank of the River Seine in Paris.

Why was Mame Khalifa Niass Given this Decoration ???

A lot of people don’t know the reason why our Master, the Pole, Mawlana Khalifa El Hadji Mouhamad Niass has been given the Legion d’honneur decoration. During The Second world War, There was a belief that circulated about the occupation of France by Hitler’s army, this fact was considered as a curse resulting from the way The French Army maltreated Shaykh Hamallah, a grand Tidjani Saint of Nioro du Sahel in Mali, Exiled and maltreated by the French authorities. The rumor then spread and reached the ears of Captain De Gaulle, then head of the France-Libre in London. The latter ordered an investigation at the intelligence service, which also had a #Mission to know who could lift this curse because Shaykh Hamallah was no longer of this world. The results of the investigation fell, the curse was real and its effects continued to worsen France’s situation.
All indicators from the secret investigation were showing Mame Khalifa Niass as the bearer of the mystical force in question. It was then that the future leader of the French State, via the France-Libre liaison officers based in #Bathurst, the present-day city of #Banjul, entered into relationship with him.
He decided to help them lift the curse and the same time pray for the end of the world war which he considered from an astrological point of view, resulting from the March cycle (Cycle de Mars), which began in 1909, Cycle of Disturbances and Wars. 
El Hadji Mouhamad Niass requested General De Gaulle to reveal to him their plan of attack which was initially programmed to pass through the town of Calais. After his Mystical analysis, He recommended that they should change their initial attack plan by Calais predicting to them that they would be repulsed. This proposal was minutely scrutinized by the French authorities who Later discovered that the enemy would be waiting for them in this said city, the fact of the shift of the place of attack to Normandy, a place long-distanced and not so obvious, instead of Nord Pas-de-Calais, was one of Mame Khalifa’s requests. 
The French authorities asked for his authorization to launch the assault, He gave them his permission by predicting that Hitlers Men would be Drunk on D-day and the French troops and their allies were going to win this decisive confrontation. On his own side, he wrote his famous #Poem and #Tawassul, addressing his request to #Allah (swt) through the #Baraka of The #Prophet (SAW) for the end of the war and by the same time of the cycle of March, here are some verses “abyaat” quoted from the poem :

“Ad’uka yâ rabbi fi âmâliyal lâ î *** ‘ayayni ghayrika mine dânine wa mine nâ î
Fa anta yâ rabbi m’âbûdî wa mustanadî *** Walam azal mineka mach’hûbane bi âlâ î “

Chakal ibâdu dirâmal harbi mine jaza’ine *** Fakchif ilahiya ‘anehume kulla darrâ î
Fal jû-‘u wal ‘uryu wal asqâma heu-ilahû *** Fal kullu fi chiddatine mine khawfi îzâ î

The battle of Normandy has paved the way for the Liberation of Paris on 25 August 1944, mobilized 3 million soldiers, 5,000 ships, and 130 warships, as well as 12,000 aircraft. On the evening of June 6, 1944, 156 350 men had landed. The March cycle had ended in 1945.
Therefore, he was awarded the decoration Legion d’honneur, the highest one distinctions of the French Nation, upon the liberation of Paris. However, ascetic that he was and devoid of the taste of appearing, he has, on several occasions, declined offers to make the trip to pick up the decoration at the Governor of Senegal. This is why, exceptionally, the French authorities did displacing in 1955 all the way to #Kaolack, to come give him solemnly the decoration, with a military detachment to present him the military honors. 
When they left, while he was #Surrounded by his family, including his younger brother, El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Baye and of his eldest son El hadji Abdoulaye nicknamed El hadj Mou Ndaw, our Master, the Pole, Khalifa El Hadji Mouhamad Niass’s first #Reaction was to put away the decoration then He never put it back on saying : "Only the decoration, I’ve been conferred by the Prophet (saw) Mouhamad gave me full satisfaction." 
Mame Khalifa received from the Prophet (saw) and from Sidna Shaykh, the Concealed Pole, Mawlana Abil Abbas Sidi Ahmed Tijani (may Allah be pleased with him), the highest of all decorations that of being recognized as their Servitors attested by the following ode : 

الحمــد لله عـــلى قبــول أمداحنا بحضرة الرسول
صـــلى عليه واهب الأنعام وآلـه وصحــــبه الكــرام
وبجناب شيخــنا التجــاني ختم الولاية عظيـم الشأن
فرحت إذ جــاء به المبشر من حضرة الغيب ونعم المخبر
حسبي من العز ونيل جــاه أن كنـــت خـــادم رســـول الله
وخادما لنجله قطــب الورى مـــمدّ أقطــاب الرجــــال الكــــبرا

May Allah (glorified and exalted) in its indulgence, be pleased with Khalifa El Hadji Mouhamad Niass, reward him widely whenever, in a Grove, sings a Green Turtle Dove or the breeze steals the perfume to the lush flower garden... Amin.
